The Pakistani Tribal area landscape

This is the landscape you'll see while travelling between Loralai and Fort Munro. The road winds through a surprisingly colorful landscape, parallel to the mountainrange on the background. The last bit of that road suddenly turns towards the mountains, and after a long and steep ascend, I'm at the top at Fort Munro. This photo was taken during the descent after the Fort. A long, steep and dangerous descent to the low lands where the 'richer' part of Pakistan lives; there where the Indus runs.

At the top at Fort Munro. This fort was for quite some time the westernmost British outpost in the subcontinent, and also the first post in - what is now called - Baluchistan.
